Parent Testimonials

“I just wanted to quickly say a big Thank You for 2011 to all the staff at Alphington Grammar School. Our sons who completed Year 4 and Year 8 this year have done so wonderfully well in their academic studies and have conducted themselves well in their school discipline requirements.

Just as I wrote last year, it seems that our sons continue to improve and that is a testament to the school.

My wife and I have never had an issue with a teacher and I believe the teachers of a the school are of high standard. Not only do they inspire, motivate and help our sons reach their goals, but they teach them to continue to be good citizens. Their individual academic results in school assessments and state and national tests were outstanding…something that would make all parents proud!

The key to Alphington’s success is the leadership group that currently exists at the school. From the Principal and all the teachers who have been there for a while now and the contributions they all make. I thank teachers; Mrs Vayenas, Ms Katsambanis, Mrs Nicholson, Mr Papoulis, Mr Spiby, Mrs Biling, Mr Fuga, Ms Shannon and all the other teachers that I may have forgotten to mention.

And how wonderful it has been to sit and enjoy watching the children perform throughout the year in the state of the art new building, The Andrianakos Centre.

“At Alphington, our children are PART OF and NOT ONE OF.”

The school gives students the opportunity to contribute and participate in all areas and encourages the students to feel part of the school and not just one of many.”

Best Wishes

“I am totally blown away from last Thursday night’s performance, Music Showcase. Every year I go to a school performance, it just gets better and better, BUT seeing what the kids can do in their own right was incredible. I have no words.

As a Middle School parent, it has made me re-evaluate my thinking, and if this is what I can expect in the Senior School, all thoughts of considering moving schools have vanished.

Our son is still talking about Music Camp!

I am interested in finding out more about our daughter learning cello, (along with singing) I may hear her one day!

The Music Showcase was a huge school team effort. This is a massive thumbs up to the Music Faculty and the school, that it should be recognized for what it is. Inspiring, dedicated and nurturing to all the students involved. On behalf of my two children, I can’t thank you enough. It is a pleasure and honour to be part of it.”
