One Campus- One Learning Community

Alphington Grammar School comprises of three sub-schools located in one convenient location.
The Junior, Middle and Senior Schools are all located in specially designed buildings created for the developing needs of our students at every stage. The Junior School includes an Early Learning Centre that caters to the learning needs of four year old children.
Our facilities include expansive grounds and sporting areas, a brand new Gym and Performing Arts building and a new Year 3-6 classroom wing that incorporates breakout learning areas adjacent to the classrooms.
The school recently restructured its senior management structure. Our new structure offers a seamless, professional approach to educational development and delivery. The Director of Teaching and Learning, Mr Mark Stanton, is responsible for teaching and learning across all levels of the school and is in the process of reviewing all areas of the curriculum and making recommendations for renewal and redevelopment. The school continues to strive to assist its students to achieve the best outcomes possible. Areas of Teaching and Learning currently being assessed include the curriculum at Years 9 and 10, implementation of the National Curriculum, ICT within the school, Literacy within the Primary Years, goal setting and study skills in the Secondary years and teaching using elements of Visible Thinking theory.
The Director of Student Services and Staff Well-Being, Mrs Tracey Nicholson, has been carefully monitoring the personal development and growth of every student at every level. Professional programmes are being focussed on creating an environment where personal goals are achieved and the most relevant learning atmosphere is created for each student.
The size of the school means that we are very focussed on the learning needs of our students.
