Transport

With limited parking, and many small streets in and around the school, we encourage our families, where possible, to utilise the public transport options available – particularly for our older students.

Alphington Grammar School is well supported by a strong network of public transport.

Alphington Train Station, on the Hurstbridge line, is a 10 minute walk from the school, with traffic lights and crossing supervisors located at all necessary road crossings.

The 546 bus between Heidelberg and Melbourne University stops on Heidelberg Road just near Alphington Grammar. This bus travels through the suburbs of Heidelberg, Ivanhoe East, Fairfield, Clifton Hill, North Fitzroy, Carlton and Parkville.

For students who are not near these public transport options to Alphington Grammar School, we also operate a charter bus service. Families apply for the service each year, and the school will endeavour to accommodate all applications where possible.
