Secondary School Care
The care and wellbeing of our students is of primary concern to all the staff at Alphington Grammar School. We don’t want to just connect with the head, the intellect of our students, it is imperative to us that we also connect with the heart to ensure meaningful relationships within our community.
Within the Secondary School at AGS, it is very much a team approach to the care of our students, as there are multiple staff each student will come across every day. From a daily catch-up with their homeroom teacher, through to their subject teachers, our students are surrounded by people who care for their wellbeing, not just their educational performance.
This is then supplemented by House Co-ordinators for each of the four Houses and the Assistant Principal – Head of Secondary.
Within the school there is also a School Nurse on site, as well as an Educational Psychologist and Learning Support Co-ordinator, who together provide important components of the care and wellbeing team we have in place to support all of our students.
